Soccer state tournaments kick off a in exactly seven days but for many Southern Arizona teams, the postseason is already well underway.
Among the several local boys teams on the bubble for the Division II state tournament is defending state champion Tucson High, which needs to win its final two matches to have a chance at a repeat.
The ninth-ranked Badgers play at Sahuaro on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and then close out the regular season at No. 12 Desert View on Thursday.
State tournament brackets will be revealed on Friday afternoon and the tournament begins next Tuesday.
