No phones
Fans that attend the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship are screened at the gates by metal detectors, and aren't allowed to bring phones onto the course.
While we've seen a few rogue texters, most fans oblige.
And then they go into shock. Maybe a little shaking.
No phone, e-mail or texting for six or eight hours? What's a fan to do?
We asked three people at the Walter Hagen Club: How are ya holdin' up without a phone?
"Really bad. I check my phone every 30 minutes. I would love to have it right now." - Miguel Zuniga, a Tucsonan and iPhone owner
"I miss my phone terribly. I usually check my BlackBerry every 5 or 10 minutes. It's in my car, and it'll be the first thing I do when I get back to it. I'm jonesin' for it." - Jennifer DeGrave, Tucson

"I love not having it today. I'm a sales rep. All I do is get calls. It's nice to not have to check it - because, believe me, I would be." - Jon Fretz, Tucson
Range balls
The tent that sits on the far right-hand side of the driving range is a golf ball mecca.
Golfers can dig into a sectioned wooden box and find white tees, short green pencils and small sealed packets of sunscreen. But they're really there for the balls.
And to make sure that no properly sponsored golfer hits the wrong orb down the range, the balls are sorted, by brand, into specific drawstring bags.
Titleists go in navy bags, TaylorMade into orange. Nike is red, Callaway is black and Srixon blue.
How do the balls find their way in? They're collected and washed and sorted by hand inside the tent. At least the tent is comfortable - sorters get a couch and a flat-screen television to watch while they work. Other tents on the course contain the same wooden boxes filled with tees and pencils, but also snacks for golfers. Apples, anyone?
The big number
4
American players left in the tournament - Ryan Moore, Matt Kuchar, J.B. Holmes and Bubba Watson.
Elementary
Our favorite match today is an easy one: At 7:46, Bubba Watson tees off against J.B. Holmes.
Yup, a Holmes-Watson matchup. A classic who-won-it.
Reminds us of when Bradley played Pittsburgh in the NCAA tournament a few years back, and the CBS scoreboard read "Brad Pitt."
Quotable
"Great day."
Luke Donald, after winning and watching his daughter Elle Georgina celebrate her first birthday Friday in Tucson.
Outfit of the day
On his website, Rickie Fowler called it his San Diego Chargers look.
The Southern California native donned a bright yellow golf shirt paired with a Chargers-blue sweater and cap.
He wore a blue belt and white pants - the Chargers throwback is, after all a blue and gold top over white - and blue, white and yellow spikes.
Quotable
"I thought he had a nice-looking outfit today. A lot of the San Diego Chargers were cheering for him."
