Hundreds of people spent hours in line today waiting for Swedish clothing retailer H&M to open its new store in the Tucson Mall.
H&M employees danced in front of the gated entrance while a DJ spun Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson and other dance music.
Some employees walked up and down the line, handing out freebies to people who made the most noise.
A few excited H&M fans camped outside the mall until 5:30 a.m., when security let them inside.
To celebrate the opening of the 21,000-square-foot store, H&M gave gift bags to the first 250 shoppers in line.
The bags included a keychain, t-shirt and a gift card that ranged in value from $10 to $300.
The two-level store — H&M’s first in the Old Pueblo — opened its doors at noon.
