Bobo's Restaurant

• History: Failed inspection in Dec. 2009. Passed reinspection and all inspections since.
• What the inspector saw: Nine critical violations on April 8. The most serious were foods kept at the wrong temperatures and a cook making a sandwich without wearing gloves.
• Follow-up: Passed April 18.
• Response: Two phone calls to the owner were not returned.
Harvest Moon Chinese Cuisine
12125 N. Oracle Road
• History: Excellent and good inspections for the past 10 years.

• Response: Owner Wanda Zhang said she retrained her staff and corrected mistakes right away.
Macayo's Mexican Restaurant del Norte

• History: Excellent and good inspections for the past 10 years.
• What the inspector saw: Three critical violations on April 2. The most serious were food kept on ice because a refrigerator was broken and a waitress playing with her hair before handling food.
• Follow-up: Failed April 12 because the fridge was not yet repaired. Passed April 18.
• Response: Spokeswoman Sharon Banta said it was an unfortunate incident but everything is back up to standard.
