Citi promotes two in Tucson
Nathan Banner was promoted to director of Citibank Client Services in Tucson. He will lead all of Citi's call-center retail operations in Tucson, including Citiphone, Business Banking and Premium Client Services groups. He has worked for Citi since 2002. Banner also serves as a board member for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tucson. He lives in Tucson with his wife, Elisa, and four children.
James Goines was promoted to area manager for Citi Security and Investigative Services and will provide physical security for all Citi businesses in Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. Goines will manage a team of 21 guards locally at Citi's Rita Ranch call center on the Southeast Side. He also has worked for Citi since 2002. Goines earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Fairmont State University in West Virginia in 1997.

Utz opens his new physical therapy firm
Physical therapist John Utz recently opened his own business, Ultimate Treatment Zone Physical Therapy LLC, 2480-1 N. Pantano Road, near Wrights-town. Utz, a native Tucsonan, earned a master's degree in physical therapy from Regis University in Denver in 2000 and his bachelor's degree in pre-medicine/exercise physiology from the University of Arizona in 1997.
His business specializes in golf performance-enhancement programs, orthopedic injuries, balance and vestibular dysfunction.
Quarles & Brady hires Shimokusu
Cindy E. Shimokusu joined the Tucson office of Quarles & Brady LLP in the real estate and environmental law group. She graduated from the University of Arizona in 1993 and also earned her juris doctorate degree from UA this year.
Prior to entering the practice of law, Shimokusu was the area director of the Arizona Department of Water Resources, Tucson Active Management Area.
Williams is National Beef Ambassador
Caitlin Williams, of Tucson, won the title of 2008 National Beef Ambassador at the annual National Beef Ambassador competition in New Orleans.
Williams, a sophomore at the University of Arizona, is pursuing a degree in agriculture education.
To win the ambassadorial title, Williams presented a speech about the promotional aspects of beef, completed interviews with media and beef-industry representatives, and attended an educational workshop, "Telling the Beef Production Story."
Williams received $2,500 cash and a $1,000 college scholarship.
