Diffley in charge of finance at Community Foundation
Mari Diffley was appointed chief operations officer for the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona.
She is responsible for managing finance, IT and work-flow systems.
Diffley has more than 25 years' experience in operations and finance, including CPA work in New York. Her experience also includes information technology financial systems.
She earned an MBA from the University of Arizona and a BBA in business and accounting from Pace University in New York City.
The Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, founded in 1980, has more than $100 million in assets and works on initiatives, affiliations and partnerships with more than 30 nonprofit organizations.

Airport's police chief to lead Fire Department
John Ivanoff was promoted to chief of public safety for Tucson Airport Authority (TAA).
He has been with the TAA Police Department since 1988 and was a sergeant and police captain before being named police chief three years ago.
As public safety chief, Ivanoff retains his police duties and adds leadership of the TAA Fire Department.
Ivanoff's position was newly created to enhance emergency preparedness for all public-safety and civilian TAA workers.
His public-safety career began in 1986 with the Tucson Police Department.
United Way picks DeGraff for development position
Chris DeGraff joined United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona as senior vice president of resource development and chief development officer.
United Way said in a news release that DeGraff has raised $31 million in his career spanning more than 25 years in nonprofit management and fundraising, having worked previously for Grace Lutheran Church, the Hennepin County Library, the Minnesota Zoo Foundation, the Indiana 4-H Foundation and Up With People, where he spent the first half of his career.
Johnson new senior VP at Bank of Tucson
Andrea Johnson joined Bank of Tucson as senior vice president of retail banking.
Johnson previously held the position of district manager at Wells Fargo.
She has 25 years of banking experience and is a member of the El Rio Foundation Board.
McMeans, Holtzer, Rua to help lead HTG Molecular
HTG Molecular, a privately held, Tucson-based company, added three members to its executive team:
• Shaun McMeans, vice president of finance, administration and chief financial officer.
• Timothy J. Holtzer, vice president of clinical diagnostic development.
• Sam Rua, vice president of regulatory affairs and quality systems.
McMeans most recently was CFO for Securaplane Technologies in Tucson. He has also been CFO of the Long Cos., interim CFO with Fluoresco and Inter-Fab, and the CFO and COO of LXU Healthcare Inc. He holds a B.S. in accounting from Penn State University.
Holtzer has spent more than 25 years in diagnostic development at companies in the U.S. and Canada. He directed diagnostic teams at DiagnoCure, Centocor and Cancer Genetics, and he led cross-functional teams at Abbott Laboratories and the Whitehead Institute. His Ph.D. is from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Before joining HTG, Rua served in quality and regulatory roles, most recently with Ventana Medical Systems, a member of the Roche Diagnostics Group. He was VP of global regulatory and clinical affairs at Beckman Coulter and executive director of quality and regulatory at Third Wave Technologies Inc. (now Hologic). Rau received his B.S. in microbiology from the University of Arizona.
