Maybe you'd rather go the self-guided route.
The Presidio Trail is a self-guided walking tour that links 22 downtown historical sites. The 2 1/2-mile loop is marked with a turquoise line on the sidewalk. Informational plaques at most sites present colorful facts in English and Spanish.
You can start anywhere, but it officially begins at North Church Avenue and West Washington Street.
Local lawyer Marjorie Cunningham came up with the idea after a visit to Boston's Freedom Trail. The Presidio Trail was created in December 2005.
You can pick up a brochure for the urban tour, which includes a map and historical information, at the Metropolitan Tucson Convention and Visitors Bureau, 100 S. Church Ave., in La Placita Village.
