Ventriloquist Jeff Dunham became a daddy for the second time earlier this month when his wife Audrey gave birth to twin boys.
They named them James Jeffrey and Jack Steve and the boys, born Oct. 11 — a day before the Dunhams celebrated their third wedding anniversary — join Dunham’s three grown daughters by a previous marriage.
The babies will surely find their way into Dunham’s “Perfectly Unbalanced” show, which pulls into Tucson Arena, 260 S. Church Ave., March 13.
He’s bringing along his unruly puppet crew and we’re pretty confident the curmudgeonly Walter will have a word or two to say about Dunham’s latest familial development. Can’t you hear him berating Dunham, 53, for being silly enough to want to start down that fatherhood trail so late in life?
And Peanut will cock his purple Woozle head back and let loose one of those trademark cackles after cracking wise about Dunham’s middle-of-the-night-diaper-change bags under his eyes. No doubt he’ll tell us that you can see the wrinkles on Dunham’s face from the back of the arena, and more than one of us will strain to see them.
