Kingfisher Bar and Grill is celebrating its 20th anniversary, which in this economy is no less than a monumental accomplishment by rolling back the clock on its menu and prices.
Now through Sept. 20, the restaurant is dusting off a trio of items from its original menu along with the original prices — that's 1993 prices, including paying just $12.25 for a mixed grill pasta with grilled shrimp, scallops, mussels and linguica sausage, or $4 for a warm chocolate chip bread pudding with a dollop of coffee cream.
Every few days, Kingfisher, at 2564 E. Grant Road, will change the trio of retro menu offerings. They also will donate 20 percent of their net sales through Sept. 20 to the Community Food Bank.
