It's one thing to celebrate Cinco de Mayo by eating Mexican food and sipping icy margaritas while a mariachi band plays.
But to really get into the culture, you gotta get your hands coated with flour as you make tortillas over a hot flame or griddle.
That's what's in story for El Saguarito Mexican Food's Cinco de Mayo Cinco de Mayo celebration, that starts today and continues Saturday.
Today, catch John Ronstadt in concert from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. On Saturday, live trios and mariachis will play throughout the day and into the evening.
On both days, you can make tortillas on the patio and watch cooking demonstrations including how to clean and cook nopalitos (cactus)used in specialty dishes at El Saguarito. You also can get in on $5 food, margarita and tequila specials.
