Lounge now has something for everyone on Speedway
Something Sweet Dessert Lounge is branching out - into something savory, too.
Earlier this month, the formerly desserts-only eatery - 5319 E. Speedway, 881-7735 - began offering entrees and introduced soups, sandwiches and salads, said server Seth Hooker.
The restaurant, which is under new ownership, has new hours: 11 a.m.-midnight and until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The restaurant is running a promotion - buy any entree between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. and get a slice of cream pie for free.
Some entrees to consider: tuna salad, a veggie melt, BLT, club sandwich, or how about a pb and j - with a scoop of ice cream? Hooker suggests the chicken salad. "It's exquisite - giant chunks of chicken, homemade - you can't beat that." Prices range between $5 and $9. And, of course, there are still lots of luscious sweets.

Seen in passing ...
Thai China Bistro has opened in the former home of Buck and Lil's BBQ at 5121 E. Grant Road. The fried Twinkies on the extensive menu took us by surprise, but the Pad Kee Moa ($5.99) was really tasty. Word is that the drive-through window should open soon.
