We know, we know, you haven't even finished your Christmas shopping and we're asking you to switch gears to New Year's Eve.
But here's the plain truth: If you wait too long to make plans, you'll find yourself sitting at home drinking sparkling cider with the kiddies, watching Dick Clark and a cast of thousands counting down the seconds before the ball drops to begin 2007.
That would be too bad — especially considering the variety of New Year's Eve bashes planned around Tucson.
Here's a quick rundown:
In the spirit of James Bond, Club Congress' annual New Year's Eve party will be all things 007. "Congress Royale" will feature bagpipers, blackjack and poker tables, tarot card readings, signature Bond drinks and surprises. Musically speaking, there's the always fun horn-rock of the Jons, the blues of the Sinners, and eclectic DJ Matt McCoy spinning tunes inside. This is in addition to Congress' famous outdoor midnight ball drop and complimentary champagne toasts. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door, which opens at 8 p.m.
