Moving up in Southern Arizona

Tracy Wood has joined the Tucson-Foothills office of Coldwell Banker Realty as an affiliate agent.

She brings nine years of real estate experience. In 2000, Wood began her career with Coldwell Banker in the Northwest, and in 2002, she started an interior design and custom paint business.

Tucson Fire Dept. promotes 2

The Tucson Fire Department promoted Battalion Chief Casey Justen to the rank of deputy chief and Captain Adam Bower to the rank of battalion chief.

After joining the Tucson Fire Department in 1998, Justen has served as a battalion chief for more than 10 years before transitioning into his new role.

Bower has served the City of Tucson since 2004 and held the rank of captain for nearly five years before his promotion.

Literacy Connects names executive director O’Brien

Sharon O’Brien has been named the new executive director for Literacy Connects.

O’Brien has been with Literacy Connects as the artistic director since its inception in 2011, helping identify the organization’s mission, vision and values.

Vantage West creates new VP role

Jon Bruflat has been named to the newly-created role of vice president of community impact for Vantage West Credit Union.

Bruflat, has been with Vantage West since 2010, holding several positions, including AVP of enterprise risk management, AVP of finance, and most recently, VP of finance, a role he had held since 2019.

Among his other duties, Bruflat will provide strategic oversight of the credit union’s financial coaching initiative being piloted at several branches.

RBC’s Corte named group partner

RBC Wealth Management’s Tucson office announced that financial advisor Gustavo Corte has been named partner of the Schaefer Present Corte Investment Group.

Corte joined RBC Wealth Management in 2018. His expertise includes wealth planning, investment management and risk management.
