You may be facing this dilemma this morning.
You want a cup of coffee. A robust cup of coffee with seasonal flavor to savor as you read your newspaper.
However, you are still in your pajamas and don’t have the wherewithal to get dressed. And you don’t have an extra four bucks or so to buy a froufrou cup o’ joe at a hip coffee shop.
We’ve been there and found a few hacks to satisfy your coffee craving.
The easiest way to spice up your coffee, quite literally, and get a bit of an autumnal flavor is to pop a stick of cinnamon along with the ground coffee into the basket of drip coffee maker or percolator. Added possible benefit: Cinnamon is supposed to help blood sugar control, weight loss and alertness and aid a host of other ailments.
Or sprinkle some cinnamon-sugar, pumpkin pie spice, allspice into the coffee ground basked of a drip maker, percolator or French press. (You can also add the spices to your coffee cup, but they don’t dissolve and leave a gritty ring in the cup.)
