Dealnews.com put out its list of what to buy in September, with predictions of what items will be on sale throughout the month. It even predicts a few deals will be better in September than they will be on Black Friday.Â
If history continues to repeat itself, outdoor furniture will go on sale at many retailers. Last year, Target and Sears each took up to 60 percent off their stock of outdoor furniture, while Kmart had 90 percent markdowns.Â
Apple is expected to announce a new iPhone this month, which means the previous generations will receive a price cut.
Discounts on older tablets are also expected as Apple updates the iPad mini and Amazon updates its Kindle Fire HD tablet.Â
Two words. Free coffee. September 29 is National Coffee Day and several food chains will offer a free cup of coffee to celebrate.

September is typically the best time to buy smaller 32 inch 1080p LCD HDTVs, Dealnews.com says. Last year, September deals beat out the best Black Friday promotions by about six percent. Deals this year are expected to be in the $169 range.
Dealnews says the last two Septembers have been the best time to purchase a dual-core desktop PC. With prices starting at $200, September deals should be better than Black Friday's best offers. But, the higher end quad-core models tend to see the biggest cuts in November.
