Two men forced their way into a west-side home Sunday and stole a collection of more than 100 major league baseball caps.
At about 5 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the 0-to-100 block of South Shannon Road to a report of a home invasion, said Officer Brandon Tatum, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.
The neighborhood is south of West Anklam Road and west of South Greasewood Road.
The victim told police that after opening the front door the men forced their way into the house, said Tatum.
One man was armed with a gun and pistol-whipped the victim before stealing electronics, cash and the baseball cap collection, Tatum said.
Both assailants were described as Hispanic. One was about 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighed about 220 pounds. He had a mustache, and was wearing a black "Atlanta" hat, black shirt and black-and-white checkered shorts.
