An overnight shooting at an east side bar has left one man clinging to life at a local hospital, police said.
Tucson police were called to the Hideout Sports Bar, at 1110 S. Sherwood Village Drive near East 22nd Street and South Pantano Road around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday and discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds, said Sgt. Fabian Pacheco, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.
After the bar closed a fight broke out in the parking lot between two women, Pacheco said.
A 26-year-old man attempted to break up the fight, at which time he was shot in the head by a male suspect, according to Pacheco. The victim was taken to University Medical Center, where he is in critical condition.
A second man who was standing nearby was shot in the upper torso, but the wound is not considered life-threatening, Pacheco said.
