A suspect wanted in an alleged home invasion on early Sunday morning is in custody after Tucson Police Department officers arrested him in the city's north side, said Pete Dugan, a public information officer with TPD.Â
Daniel Matlock, 32, was arrested for allegedly being involved with a home invasion that took place on 2:30 a.m. Sunday on the south side, Dugan said.
Police said Matlock and two men, armed with weapons, invaded a home at the 800 block of West Acadia near West Valencia Road and South Santa Clara Avenue.Â
The men allegedly assaulted a man and woman in the house then took a vehicle as well as possessions from the house, Dugan said.
The victims were badly assaulted and were treated by members of the Tucson Fire Department but turned down further assistance.
During the assault the male victim recognized Matlock as one of the suspects, police said.Â

"This was a targeted home," Dugan said, "possibly from an earlier disagreement." Â It was not a random act, Dugan said.
Members of the SWAT team and other TPD officers went to the suspect's residence at North Serenas Drive near Ruthrauff Road and North La Cholla Boulevard but did not immediately find Matlock.Â
After further investigation the police learned the suspect was at a neighboring home that may have been owned by a family member, Dugan said.Â
Matlock surrendered without incident.
SWAT searched both homes, looking for the remaining suspects but were unsuccessful in finding them.Â
Matlock is being charged on suspicion of aggravated robbery, armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and various other charges, Dugan said.Â
