Come Feb. 1, KMSB Channel 11 will air its own locally-produced local morning news show.
As part of a shared services agreement, in which KMSB parent Belo Corp. is paying KOLD to produce its news content, KOLD will produce the new show, dubbed “Fox11 Daybreak,” which will air from 7 to 9 a.m. weekdays.
KOLD tabbed KMSB weather anchor and entertainment correspondent Gina Trunzo to anchor the new show alongside KOLD anchor Mark Stine, who has been promoted to anchor, and meteorologist Erin Jordan.
KOLD’s morning show, “KOLD This Morning,” with Jordan, Stine and Kayna Whitworth, will air from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m.
Scott Kilbury, who currently co-anchors the KOLD morning show, will anchor the 9 p.m. KMSB news by himself while co-anchoring the 4 p.m. KOLD news with Heather Rowe. KOLD meteorologist Aaron Pickering will join Kilbury at 9 on KOLD to handle weather.

When the shared services agreement kicks in Feb. 1, KMSB’s newsroom will shut down and KOLD will produce all the station’s news broadcasts.
In addition to Trunzo, KOLD is rumored to have hired 12 other KMSB staffers, but the station would not confirm or deny a list of hirees the Star obtained in a message from a KMSB staffer.
Also, KVOA Channel 4 hired KMSB anchor/reporter Samantha Ptashkin but did not specify her role with KVOA or her start date.
