A Three Points man who has already served 10 years in prison for molesting two young sisters is now facing a possible life sentence after being convicted Wednesday of sexually abusing another young girl for nearly a decade.
It took a jury about 90 minutes to convict Carl Lane, 48, of one count each of continuous sexual abuse of a child, commercial sexual exploitation of a child, sexual exploitation of a child and sexual conduct with a minor.
Pima County Superior Court Judge Howard Fell will sentence Lane Aug. 11.
Last week, the girl, now 17, told jurors that Lane abused her repeatedly from the age of 5 until she turned 13 or 14. She also testified that Lane took very explicit close-up photographs of her on three occasions, telling her he wanted to remember how young she was.
When shown a series of photos seized by police, the girl identified herself as the girl in the photos.

Lane adamantly denied touching or photographing the girl when he took the stand Tuesday.
The defendant said the photos were given to him years ago by a now-dead friend and that he has no idea who was depicted in the photos.
One of the photos was found framed on his bedside table. Lane said he displayed it there because he missed his former girlfriend, the victim's mother.
Lane told Deputy Pima County Attorney Melissa Rueschhoff he never told police a friend had given him the photos because "they never asked."
