Tucson police on Thursday arrested a man wanted in connection with a double murder in the Los Angeles area, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
Christopher Anthony Brown, 38, is a suspect in the shooting deaths of his girlfriend and her 18-year-old daughter, which occurred in November about 80 miles north of Los Angeles. The homicide investigation began after authorities found the bodies in mid-December.
Brown is also wanted in Pima County under the name Harry Janis in a 2004 conspiracy to possess and transport marijuana, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department requested assistance in capturing Brown from the U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force. The investigation led to Tucson, where it was believed Brown could be hiding at any of several local addresses.

U.S. marshals and members of the multi-agency Fugitive Investigative Strike Team then focused on a home in the 10400 block of East Overland Ridge Road, near South Houghton and East Irvington roads.
Just after 9 Thursday morning, a man matching Brown's description left that address in a tan Toyota Sienna minivan with no license plates.
After Tucson police were notified, officers found the van on East Golf Links Road and carried out a high-risk traffic stop near East Irvington Road and South Campbell Avenue, where Brown was arrested.
Brown was turned over to the Pima County Sheriff's Department. He faces the local narcotics charge and extradition to Los Angeles County on the homicide charges, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
