CHANDLER — Police aren't sure what a man is doing with $10,000 worth of stolen makeup.
Chandler police say the "Blue Basket Bandit" has struck various Walgreens in Mesa, Tempe, Chandler and the Phoenix-Ahwatukee-area over the past two years.
The thefts have ranged from $300 to $700 each time.
Chandler police say the man enters a Walgreens, picks up a blue basket and proceeds to the cosmetic aisle where he then removes various items.
After that, he stuffs the stolen loot into plastic Walgreens bags that he removes from his pockets.
He then walks out without paying.
The man is described as a white male, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, medium build with brown hair.
