An Oro Valley woman was tied up and her house ransacked Wednesday night after she let a child into her home to use the phone, and two teens rushed in after him.
The woman told investigators that shortly before 8 p.m. a boy, who appeared to be about 9 or 10 years old, knocked on her door and asked if he could use the telephone, said Lt. Kara Riley, an Oro Valley Police Department spokeswoman.
When the woman let the boy into the house in the 11000 block of North Meadow Sage Drive, two teens came in after him and tied her up, Riley said.
The invaders are described as a boy and girl who are between 16 and 18 years old, said Riley. The victim told police that two of the intruders were armed with guns.
The intruders ransacked the house and then left.
Meanwhile, the victim was able to get free and she called 911, Riley said.

She suffered minor injuries and did not need medical attention, said Riley.
A Department of Public Safety helicopter scoured the neighborhood north of West Naranja Drive and east of North La CaƱada Drive for about an hour, but did not find the intruders, Riley said.
The intruders were all described as white. The child was wearing jeans, and the older teens were wearing jeans and dark hooded sweatshirts. The older boy had diamond stud earrings.
