Customs official gets probation in hacking
A U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer has been given three years of probation after pleading guilty to illegally accessing government computers.
Natan Ben-Shabat, 42, was indicted in September on three counts of unauthorized access to a government computer, according to documents filed in U.S. District Court in Tucson.
According to the indictment, Ben-Shabat used his official password to access the Consular Consolidated Database and the Treasury Enforcement Communication System database between July 2007 and July 2008, and also induced co-workers to access the Arizona Criminal Justice Information System database 105 times between March 2008 and June 2009.
The queries were made in order to get personal information about a man Ben-Shabat was suing in Pima County Consolidated Justice Court for allegedly failing to make payments on a home the man was leasing from Ben-Shabat, according to the indictment.

Ben-Shabat has worked for CBP from 2004 and since January 2008 has been assigned to the Tucson Command Center. He has been on unpaid administrative leave since his indictment, CBP spokesman Brian Levin said.

Border Patrol finds skull near Lukeville
Border Patrol agents found a human skull east of Lukeville on Sunday.
No other human remains were found nearby, said Mario Escalante, an agency spokesman.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department is now handling the case, but it didn't have any further information on Wednesday.
