Tucson police officers shot and killed a man believed to have been involved in a shooting just minutes before at a north-side restaurant Monday night, officials said.
One officer suffered superficial injuries during a fight with the man, who matched the description of the assailant in the first shooting, said Tucson police Capt. Michael Gillooly.
The 37-year-old man wounded in the original shooting was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he is expected to survive, Gillooly said.
It appears the shooting victim might have known the assailant, said Sgt. Diana Lopez, a spokeswoman for the Tucson Police Department.
Police were called shortly after 7 p.m. to the Overboard restaurant - the name was recently changed from Long John Silver's - in the 4100 block of North Oracle Road, near Roger Road.

A 911 caller said someone had been shot in the head at the restaurant, police said. It was unclear if the shooting happened inside or outside the restaurant.
When police arrived, they saw a man with a gunshot wound lying on the sidewalk outside the restaurant, Gillooly said.
A witness identified one man running from the area of the restaurant with another man as the shooter, Lopez said.
Two officers gave chase.
They caught one of the two men at a nearby apartment complex and a fight ensued.
The officers radioed for assistance but they "were forced to discharge their weapons," Gillooly said.
The man they were fighting was shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other man got away and was being sought late Monday. Police know the name of the second man.
The name of the dead man and the wounded man were not released as of late Monday.
The officer who was injured was taken to a hospital, but his injuries were minor, Gillooly said. The nature of his injuries was not disclosed.
This is the fourth fatal shooting involving Tucson police in about a month.
