A program of Brazilian and Spanish classical and popular music will be featured Tuesday in the weekly concert at Academy Village.
Two talented musicians, natives of Brazil now living in Tucson, are featured in the concert: Gabriel Navia, an award-winning classical guitarist, and vocalist Valquiria Pomme.
Their program will include selections by noted composers Heitor Villa-Lobos (Brazil) and Enrique Granados (Spain) along with Brazilian popular music.
Sponsored by the Arizona Senior Academy, the concert is free and open to the public. It will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Arizona Senior Academy Building, 13715 E. Langtry Lane.
Academy Village is an active-adult community located off Old Spanish Trail six miles southeast of Saguaro National Park East.
