The sweat was falling and the pounds shedding last Thursday at Focus Fitness Tucson's Turbo Kick class.
Instructor Selina Dellafosse punched, kicked and danced as class participants followed along.
"It's just a fun class. It's in a great space where people feel comfortable," Focus Fitness co-owner Vera Knight said.
"We crank up the music when we start the class. It is high-energy."
The more often people attend the class, the more they learn the routine, she said.
"The choreographed routine people get to know during the workout. They know the music, get to know the moves, and because it is structured that way people become more successful," Knight said.
Participant Jessica Tadeo moved and grooved with the other women Thursday.

"It's really upbeat. It keeps you moving," she said.
Friend Kathleen Fridye agreed.
"It's the interaction with the instructor. At home you're just in front of the TV," she said, adding, "It's hard but it's fun."
The Turbo Kick class is not only for people who are already in shape.
"All fitness levels are welcome - we're not just a bunch of Barbie dolls," Knight said. "We all have jobs, kids, and we figure out a way to make it happen."
