Vail Theatre of the Arts, the 593-seat performing arts venue for the Vail School District, will host several public performances in November and December.
• All Together Theatre will present an interactive rock musical adaptation of the classic children's story "Rapunzel" at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
In this modern version of the story, a prince who wants to form a rock band hears Rapunzel's beautiful voice and knows she would be a perfect lead singer.
Tickets are $9 for adults and $6 for students.
• Robert Shaw and Mr. Boogie Woogie will star in "Good Rockin' Live: A Salute to Sun Records and the Birth of Rock 'n' Roll" at 7 p.m. Nov. 18.
Mr. Boogie Woogie, whose given name is Eric-Jan Overbeek, is a Dutch boogie/blues piano player who has become a Tucson favorite through his frequent appearances here.

This show will tell how rock was born, through the music and the stories of those who lived it, including Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison and B.B. King.
Tucson musicians Steve Grams, Danny Krieger, Alex Flores and Jon Westfall will be part of the performance.
Reserved tickets are $22.
• Jer Coons, a young musician from Vermont, will perform at 7 p.m. Dec. 3.
Coons's music, which has been featured in Hollister stores across the country, has been compared to Owl City and Jason Mraz.
His hit single "Legs" is available to download on the theater's website.
Seating is reserved, and tickets for this show are $15.
• Ballet Rincon will take the audience on an enchanting journey through the Land of Snow with performances of "The Nutcracker Ballet" at 7 p.m. Dec. 18 and 2 p.m. Dec. 19.
Tickets in the mezzanine are $10 adults; $8 for seniors and children 10 and younger. Tickets in the orchestra section are $14 adults; $12 for seniors and children.
