Combine yoga and pilates and what do you get? A class full of sweaty, determined students.
Move It and Lose It, at 250 N. Pantano Road, holds regular yogalates sessions. Instructor Michele Jones says the exercise is for anyone of any fitness level.
"You don't have to be a 'pretzel person' to do yogalates," she said.
The focus of the class is not only on the body but on the mind.
Move It and Lose It owner Patty Guilmartin says yogalates is great for someone who's had an injury and has gone through rehabilitation.
She says sometimes when people are injured, they lose the mind and body connection because they are so focused on the pain.
"It's a great way to get back that range of motion," she says.

Dorene Flores took her first yogalates class last Thursday. Even though it was tough at times, she said she loved it - the combination of stretching and relaxation was exactly what she was looking for.
Guilmartin opened Move It and Lose It in January. The studio has no contracts and no membership fees and offers several types of classes including cardio step, Zumba and Fit 4 Me boot camp.
