Learn to double-dutch like a pro at a jump-rope workshop hosted by the Tucson Twist-Its from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Oct. 29 at Tanque Verde Elementary School, 2600 N. Fennimore Ave.
Participants will learn single- and double-rope tricks, and have fun in the process.
The Tucson Twist-Its is a competitive jump-rope team located in Tucson. The team competes in local, regional and national competitions, though competition is just one of many things the team is involved in.
Tucson Twist-Its members are ambassadors for the American Heart Association, a nonprofit organization that funds research in order to find a cure for heart disease.
The team travels to local elementary schools and performs demonstrations to get the students excited for the Twist-Its' "Jump for Heart" program.

The Twist-Its group promotes a healthy diet, exercise and an altogether healthy lifestyle.
The Twist-Its group also holds workshops, camps and even birthday parties for aspiring jumpers. Members work through organizations such as Girl Scouts and Tanque Verde Schools. Jumpers of all ages are encouraged to join.
