Lutheran Church of the Foothills held its 13th annual Musical Potpourri Concert Sunday to raise money for the Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network, or TIHAN.
The event was sponsored by the church, 5102 N. Craycroft Road, and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. For only $10 - or nothing for kids under 10 - guests got to hear a 90-minute concert featuring performances by Crystal Stark, the Reveille Men's Chorus and jazz musicians such as Rob Boone, Pete Swan and Kelland Thomas.
"We have a lot of help and volunteers wanting to put this together," said Scott Blades, TIHAN's executive director. Also, he said, "we have other events that we plan to help raise money, such as raffles and auctions."
The concert was followed by a reception where guests were able to meet, greet and eat with the musicians and performers.
