Though the next bridge demolition for the Interstate 10 widening project in Tucson won't affect traffic, other closures in the construction area are scheduled this month.
First up, Grant Road will be down to one lane in each direction at I-10 Monday and Tuesday from 7 each night to 4 the following morning.
The right lane of westbound I-10 is scheduled to be closed between 22nd Street and 29th Street from 10 p.m. Monday to 4 a.m. Tuesday and again from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 4 a.m. Thursday. The same section will close from 11 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Saturday.
The westbound I-10 right-lane closures are for safety reasons as crews demolish one side of the I-10 bridges over Clark Street and the 18th Street pedestrian underpass this week. Both underpasses have been closed for months.
The ramp on northbound Interstate 19 to westbound I-10 is scheduled to close from 8 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday.

Westbound Grant Road is scheduled to close overnight at I-10 Wednesday night through Friday night.
These closures are scheduled from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and will allow construction crews to begin building the support columns for the new bridge there, said Teresa Welborn, state Transportation Department spokeswoman.
Eastbound Speedway, and the left turn lane of westbound Speedway, will be closed at I-10 at 9 a.m. Friday. Westbound Speedway at I-10 will also close Friday at 7 p.m. Both directions are scheduled to reopen Aug. 28 at 6 a.m.
The Speedway closures are scheduled to allow crews to drill the bridge shafts there, Welborn said.
During the same weekend, 22nd Street is scheduled to close at I-10 so crews can do more demolition in the area. East and westbound 22nd are scheduled to close at 10 p.m. Friday and remain closed until noon next Sunday.
Drivers should also keep in mind that intermittent lane closures may be in place at I-10 cross streets: Grant Road, Speedway, St. Mary's Road, Congress Street and 22nd Street.
