Two of the Tucson area's biggest Fourth of July blowouts are right in our neighborhood.
Marana's Star-Spangled Spectacular starts at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Arizona Pavilions, at North Cortaro Road and Interstate 10, where restaurants will offer food and drink specials. The Quarry Pines Golf Club will have a live band, jumping castles, beer garden, food court and grass seating area.
Crossroads at Silverbell District Park, 7548 N. Silverbell Road, will screen a kids' movie and have activities and games.
Fireworks start at 9 p.m. Activities are expected to wrap up by 10 p.m.
Everything is free, except for food and drink purchases.

The Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf and Tennis Resort in Oro Valley will have a host of activities for folks staying at the resort and people who aren't, but there is a cost involved.

For guests at the resort, 10000 N. Oracle Road, poolside activities will begin at 9 a.m.
From 6 to 10 p.m. there will be live music and a barbecue buffet. A 30-minute fireworks show will start at 9 p.m.
If you're staying at the resort, cost is $27 or $12 for children 5-12. People not staying at the resort can participate for $32 per adult or $15 for kids 5-12.
Of course, people all around Oro Valley will be able to see the fireworks from afar for free.
