Art on American Avenue, the annual holiday show and sale of original works by Oracle artists and artisans, will run for extended weekends through Dec. 20. The one-stop location is an indoor gift and gallery space at 1880 W. American Ave.
More than a dozen artists will show a variety of classic and contemporary works. Featured will be jewelry, paintings, photography, ceramic and stone sculpture, metalwork and hand-painted fabrics, along with journaling books, beargrass baskets, painted boxes, paper mache, cards and ornaments.
The show will run 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting today and continuing Friday, Saturday and Sunday and Dec. 9, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20.
Everyone is invited to a meet the artists evening with wine and hors d'oeuvres, set for 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
