The Mortimore Neighborhood Association invites all residents to a meeting Tuesday — the first one after summer break.
The agenda includes weed removal, cars parked on sidewalks, streets that need repair and a speeding problem, said Patricia Smith, association president.
"I can't remember the last time when our streets have been resurfaced," Smith said.
Graffiti has also accumulated over the summer, and it is time to get back into a routine of having it removed, she said.
Neighborhood meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month, except July and August.
City of Tucson or Pima County representatives sometimes attend the meetings, which are open to everyone, she said.
In past years, the association has organized yard sales and ice cream socials, and has collected money for Hurricane Katrina victims and residents in need.

Smith said she plans another yard sale in the near future.
But her longtime goal is to get younger people involved in the neighborhood's decision-making.
"I'd just like to make the area a better place for families to live," she said.
The neighborhood is northwest of South Alvernon Way and East Benson Highway.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Verde Heights Baptist Church, 5337 S. Palo Verde Road. For more information, contact the association at tworockings@aol.com.
