Ohio is back on New York State's travel quarantine list.Â
One of the closest out-of-state destinations for Western New York road trippers is among four Eastern states that were added to the quarantine list Tuesday morning by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo.
Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland and Delaware were all added to the list, which now consists of 34 states and Guam.
The quarantine list is a joint effort of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut which requires travelers to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in New York.
Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands were removed from the list.Â
Ohio was initially placed on the quarantine list on July 14 before decreasing virus rates led to it being removed on Aug. 11. Several states' fluctuating rates have seen them drop off or be re-added to the list.Â

The travel advisory applies to states which have significant community spread. The metrics New York State uses to define that are a rate of 10% or higher of people testing positive for Covid-19 over a seven-day average, or a positive test rate higher than 10 per 100,000 residents over a seven-day average.
New York's positive test rate, meanwhile, was under 1% for the 32nd straight day, according to the state.
