Angelynn Mock
Angelynn Mock, a former anchor for Fox 2 in St. Louis, has been arrested in Wichita, Kansas for allegedly killing her mother, local news outlets reported.Â
Wichita police responded to a report of a cutting at a residence in the 1500 block of East Crowley Street around 7:50 a.m. Friday, authorities said. Upon arrival, police found a 48-year-old woman outside with cuts on her hands, Capt. Roderick Miller told reporters on the scene.
Inside the house, authorities discovered 81-year-old Anita Avers unresponsive in her bed with multiple stab wounds. Both women were taken to the hospital and Avers was pronounced dead about 30 minutes later.Â

Miller confirmed that the two women are related, and said the incident was a domestic dispute.Â
Sedgwick County Jail records show that Mock, 47, has been charged with first-degree murder and was booked into the jail Friday around 2:20 p.m.
Mock was a morning anchor for Fox 2 KTVI from 2011 to 2014, when viewers knew her as Angie. Before that, she worked in television in Oklahoma, Montana and Nebraska, according to her online resume.Â
