Nearly 44 million Americans are expected to travel 50 miles or more for the Memorial Day holiday and the unofficial start of summer, according to AAA. But there will be travel concerns in different parts of the country.
Beginning on Friday, there will be broader area of rain for the Twin Cities that extends down toward the the Midwest and even into the mid-South toward the Tennessee Valley.
And Friday night that shifts toward St. Louis, Chicago and Wisconsin as well as into the Carolinas and Mississippi.
A larger storm system is going to take shape Saturday and bring rain to Omaha and Tulsa.
On Sunday, there will be periodic rain in parts of the Midwest, Mississippi Valley and Tennessee Valley.

By Monday, that system pushes off into Canada. Most places are going to be fine, but do look for some scattered showers and thunderstorms in the Southeast.
