Don't know one wrap from the other? Here are some definitions, but be advised: Today's trends don't always fit traditional categories.
● Capelet - Any small cape, or cape collar attached or detachable on a coat, dress or suit.
● Bolero - A waist-length or shorter jacket, open in front, with or without sleeves, popular at end of the 19th century and again in the 1950s and '60s.
● Shrug - A combination shawl-sweater, wraps across the back like a shawl, with edges drawn together to form short sleeves.
● Stole - A long, wide scarf made of a fabric or fur, worn since the 19th century, popular in the '40s and '50s.
● Bed jacket - Waist-length jacket made of lightweight material, sometimes quilted, lined or lacy knit; often trimmed in lace or marabou, popular in the 1920s and '30s, worn while sitting up in bed.
