I was impressed by a photo online of a group in Lyons, Colorado protesting recently with extensive signage depicting the “signs of fascism.” To quote a few: “threatening political opponents with prison, appointing incompetent loyalists, using the military on its civilians, use of voter suppression, racial profiling against minorities, illegally detaining without due process, pardoning loyalists.”
And, they added: “Our veterans fought fascism, will you?"
When will our Republican congressional majority stop being complacent with the theft of their constitutionally granted authority of checks and balances by the executive branch? Or, more importantly, when will our Roberts-led Supreme Court strip our president from their granted get out of jail free card for any “official” act he commits? This is insane.
Will there be midterm elections this year? Will our Republic survive? Hopefully, but only if we, the people, strongly resist by contacting our congressional legislators and peacefully protesting.
