I’d been hoping to make it to my end enjoying a daily print paper and the daily finale doing the crossword. On 3 Oct, we were informed we had just been pushed down the slippery slope with no stop in sight until total print elimination - the goal. “Star goes digital for the holiday” stated we would not receive a print version Colombus Day, 12 Oct, but not to worry, we could still get the paper on-line (E-edition). Problem is, I DO NOT want to read an e-edition and did not subscribe for daily print home delivery for that privilege to be eliminated without notice! But the cool little twist was the article stopped with the insinuation it would only be for one day, hoping readers would miss the end of the article hidden on the bottom of page 4 that the print version will no longer be available for ANY future Federal Holidays. Alexis, the executive editor, just made an old man’s day…NOT!
