Ronald Reagan, the patron saint of mainstream Republicans, should be rolling over in his grave. Reagan, famous for saying “Tear down that wall, Mr. Gorbachev,” opposed Russian expansion and everything communist.
Trump backed Viktor Orban, dictator of Hungary, who was soundly beaten in a recent election.
Trump invited the dictator of communist China to the United States, treated him like royalty, and called him a good friend.
Trump treats Russian dictator Putin like a long lost friend and attacks democratically elected Ukraine President, Zelenskyy on a daily basis.
Now, Trump has finally gone past the tipping point and is outwardly supporting Russia in its war with Ukraine. Buying diesel from Russian (and taking off sanctions) will not change prices, but it is a move to show that Trump is willing to give money to Russia to defeat Ukraine.
