Banner University Medical Center Senior House Manager
Bachelors of Science in Nursing, CCRN
American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN)
My nursing journey began after graduating from the inaugural accelerated program at the University of Arizona in 2004. I started in the Surgical/Trauma ICU, where I built a strong clinical foundation before transitioning to the MICU. There, I stepped into my first leadership role as a Clinical Leader. When that position was discontinued, I moved my services to the SWAT team. While in this position, I utilized my extensive knowledge and experience gained in the ICUs to care for a wide range of patients, from pediatric to geriatric. Here, I gained more experience by working side by side with senior house managers and branched out in the CCO department by serving as a relief house manager and working in the bed manager role. After several months of relief, I transitioned to a full-time senior house manager. In this role, I get to mentor our staff, solve complex problems, and create an environment that facilitates teamwork and operational efficiency. With over 22 years of dedicated service to this organization and nearly 3 years in my current role, I look forward to continuing to grow and expand my leadership knowledge and advance excellence in patient care.
