With Will Parks, Anthony Lopez and Jamar Allah gone, the Wildcats knew they'd have to scramble to fill their spots in the depth chart at safety.
After Monday, Arizona appears to be gearing up to weather that storm — safety Jarrius Wallace (John Ehret/Marrero, Louisiana) verbally committed to the Wildcats on Monday night, telling Rich Rodriguez and assistant Donte' Williams of his decision during an in-home visit.
Wallace visited UA campus over the weekend on an official visit, and only took a day from there to pick Arizona over Colorado. Wallace is rated a 3-star recruit by Scout.com and also had offers from UCF, Tulane and Northwestern.
With Wallace in the fold, the Wildcats now have 14 verbal commitments in the 2016 class, including eight on defense, and he joins Isaiah Hayes, Gavin Robertson, Tristan Cooper and London Iakopo as safeties in this class. Iakopo took a couple official visits elsewhere recently and isn't guaranteed to stick around for Arizona, though.
