There goes another one.
Tuesday, safety London Iakopo became the latest recruit to re-open his recruitment after previously verbally committing to the Arizona Wildcats.
In a Twitter message, Iakopo said "after weighing the pros and cons" he'd be decommiting.
Iakopo, a four-star safety from Long Beach City College, had been committed to UA since July. Iakopo's decommitment doesn't come as too much of a surprise, though, as he had taken official visits with Louisville and Missouri recently and the Wildcats added two safeties to its class this week in Jarrius Wallace and Tristan Cooper. Plus, Arizona is going hard after two four-star safeties in Chacho Ulloa and Lamar Jackson.
With Iakopo out, Arizona is back down to 13 in its class. The scholarship limit is 25, but the Wildcats have four grayshirting carry-overs from last year's recruiting class — OL Keenan Walker, OL Harper Sherman, DB Antonio Parks, TE Jamie Nunley — that will count toward this year's limit, so the Wildcats now have eight spots to fill. Signing day is Feb. 3.
