Roadrunners training camp set for Sept. 22–27
TUCSON, AZ – The Tucson Roadrunners, American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Utah Mammoth, today announced the team’s 2026 training camp dates and practice times.
Tucson’s training camp kicks off with a captain’s skate on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 1:45 p.m. at Tucson Arena, which will be limited to a small number of veteran players. Camp will feature three consecutive days of full-team practices from Wednesday through Friday, with each practice scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Media are welcome to attend all three practices, with players and coaches available to the media following the conclusion of each practice.
Training camp will conclude with the Southwest Showdown, an AHL preseason event featuring the Roadrunners, Pacific Division rivals the Colorado Eagles and Henderson Silver Knights, and the Central Division’s Texas Stars, with all four games taking place at Tucson Arena.

The Roadrunners will face Henderson in their preseason opener on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. before wrapping up the AHL preseason against Texas on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m.
The weekend begins on Friday, Sept. 25 with the Roadrunners Fan Fest from 6–8 p.m. at Tucson Arena. Fans will have the opportunity to meet the entire Roadrunners roster, with select players from the Eagles and Silver Knights also expected to attend. The free event will feature player autographs, games, public skating, music, food and beverages, interactive activities and more.
