ANAHEIM, Calif. - Alexander Semin completed his seventh career hat trick by scoring the tying and go-ahead goals in the final minutes, and the Washington Capitals dramatically rallied to snap their three-game skid with a 7-6 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday night.
Semin tied it with 8:23 to play and put the Capitals ahead with 1:47 left, ending the supremely streaky scorer's 17-game goal drought. The Russian scored 18 goals with three hat tricks in the Capitals' first 25 games, but hadn't scored since Nov. 28 while missing 15 games with injuries.
• Kings 4, Blue Jackets 3, SO: In Columbus, Ohio, Jarret Stoll had the only goal in the shootout, and the Kings earned at least one point in their 10th straight game.
The Kings' 8-0-2 spree is their best run in 31 years.
• Maple Leafs 2, Sabres 1: In Buffalo, N.Y., Joey Crabb's short-handed goal midway through the third period sparked Toronto over the Sabres and snapped the Maple Leafs' seven-game losing streak at Buffalo.

• Flames 4, Stars 2: In Calgary, Alberta, Cory Sarich and Steve Staios scored just over two minutes apart in the third period to lift the surging Flames.
• Penguins 3, Avalanche 2, OT: In Denver, Tyler Kennedy scored a power-play goal 4:10 into overtime and Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 29 shots as Pittsburgh sent Colorado to its ninth straight loss.
Kennedy knocked in a rebound after a shot from Alex Goligoski bounced to him off the pads of Peter Budaj. Kevin Porter was called for tripping just before Kennedy's 12th goal.

• Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville was in stable condition after being admitted to a hospital with an undisclosed illness that is "not of cardiac nature," a team doctor said.
