LINCOLN COUNTY •  A mother of three small children was arrested Thursday night after police say she drove while drunk with the children in her car.
Sheila L. Menke, 25, of the first block of Apple Grove Road near Foley, was charged Friday with three counts of felony endangering the welfare of a child and misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.
The children were ages 5, 1 and 12 weeks, police said.
According to court records, Menke was driving slowly on Highway 47 when she attempted to turn into a parking lot in front of a liquor store. She missed the turn, ran onto the grass shoulder, then backed the car into the road and tried again.
Police conducted a traffic stop, and Menke allegedly failed three field sobriety tests. Police later obtained a search warrant to get a blood sample, the results of which were not available.

Menke pleaded guilty previously to drunken driving on Aug. 31, 2010, in Ballwin, court records show.
The bail amount in Menke's case was unavailable.
Shelia L. Menke, of Lincoln County, was sentenced to shock time on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and driving while intoxicated.
