Kenneth Williams, 25, is assistant manager at Club Fitness in Dogtown, where Jennings has worked for almost a year as a personal trainer. He said said many at the gym are grieving.
"Brandon was a great trainer,' Williams said. "He changed a lot of his clients' lives as well as helping them lose over 100 pounds and helping them gain mobility back in their legs."
Williams said Jennings was always up for a challenge.
"We were always competing," he said. "He always raised the gym's spirits all the time."
Williams said Jennings died 50 yards from Club Fitness. He heard that Jennings was headed to a nearby Kmart when he was struck. The gym was not open during that time.
