In the week since 3-year-old Anna Garcia was killed in a Tucson crash, more than 22,000 people have signed an online drive that pushes state lawmakers to crack down on street racing.
And a vigil for Anna Thursday night was attended by well over 200 people who held candles, balloons and a grieving family.

"Anna's Law," the petition organizer says, would be a piece of legislation that would "impose significantly stricter penalties for street racing, especially in cases where it results in serious injury or death."
"This law should include automatic felony charges for street racing incidents that result in injury or death, mandatory prison sentences for those convicted. Immediate vehicle impoundment and potential permanent seizure. Increased fines and license revocation," said Samantha Bracamonte, identified as Anna's aunt.

"The goal of this law is simple: accountability and prevention. Stronger consequences will send a clear message that street racing is not a harmless thrill, it is a violent and reckless act that destroys lives."

Days ago, however, Emmanuel Garcia shared on social media that the family had welcomed a healthy daughter — Ellianna.
She is "strong, healthy, and beautiful, just like her sisters," her dad said.
Garcia asked in the post for support for "Anna's Law."
"I thank God for all of you in our community who have been affected and are fiercely fighting for change against this preventable tragedy that took my little girl from her loving family that would do anything to have her back," Emmanuel Garcia said online.

"My daughter Anna was the joy of my life, the sweetest girl ever, and loved everyone she ever met. I humbly ask for all of your continued prayers for my wife, who is still fighting not only the loss of her precious girl but her own recovery."
A GoFundMe page for the family had collected nearly $99,000 by Friday afternoon.
Christian Isaiah Randall, 22, the driver of the Hyundai, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder, aggravated assault and endangerment. Bond was set at $500,000, police have said.
The second car police said was racing was driven by an unidentified 16-year-old boy who fled the scene. Though the Dodge Charger he was driving did not hit the Camry, he was arrested last week and taken to the Pima County Juvenile Detention Center after police said his actions "contributed to the cause" of the crash.
